 approx 18 gardens opened Alton, near Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire

11.00am to 4.00pm

The beautiful village of Alton in the Churnet Valley near to Alton Towers will be opening its gardens this year. These include the community allotments beside the 12th century church and the St. Peters School Garden where the children are holding a special exhibition of their hard work.

Many gardens will be offering refreshments, or visit one of the villages five great pubs. St. Peters School has also kindly arranged a creche for the care of visitors' children between 1.00pm and 3.00pm.

All proceeds to Alton Community Events Group for future projects.
