Bradninch Musical Gardens
This event ran in 2018 but we don't yet have this year's details. When we get them, we'll add them, but in the meantime we include below event information from last year to remind you about the event.
Bradninch, near Exeter, Devon
Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June 2018
12.00noon to 5.00pm
Imagine wandering through a pretty garden admiring the planting, when you hear the gentle strains of live music on the summer air. This is the pleasure that awaits visitors when the village opens its gardens ranging from stately homes to historic cottages. Wandering musicians will entertain visitors with all types of music from classical to jazz.
We are working hard to make it the magical community event it once was. With have a good range of gardens open, we can offer the broadest variety of gardens be they large or small, vegetable or colourful, from potagers to just pots. With the right mix the weekend can be a wonderful time for families, the young and not so young and for the gardeneers.
This year we again have the wonderful Bradninch Choir and a Brass band on the Sunday, and in the evening there is a concert with Trio Exe and friends playing the Trout Quintet and more from 6.00pm, with reduced ticket cost for Garden Tickets holders.
Teas and refreshments will be available at many of the gardens and many strolling minstrels, balladeers and the odd choir thrown in, and classic cars.
What more can be said of having a cake in one hand, a cup of tea or pimms in the other, with the sound of music wafting over sunlight gardens amongst friends?
Some gardens are not suitable for dogs - guide dogs welcome throughout.
The event raises funds for the Bradninch Music Festival and other local causes.
