Bradwell, Hope Valley, Derbyshire Saturday 10th August 2019 10.00am to 5.00pm
Bradwell gardeners are looking forward to welcoming visitors to our gardens in the Peak District village of Bradwell in the Hope Valley.
There will be a stalls area and ticket sales located by the Town Bottom Playing Fields. Close by are the Chapel and Church and Bradwell's Ice Cream Shop.
Bradwell is a fascinating village to explore with little lanes and paths connecting the tight-knit cottages with pretty gardens climbing up the valley on both sides. Higher up, there are views and vistas of the Hope Valley and Bradwell Edge and larger gardens to explore.
Two routes round the village start from Town Bottom - choose one, or come for the day and do them both. There are several pubs and other places where you can get refreshments. Judging of hanging baskets takes place in Carnival week, together with a garden scarecrow competition. These will also be marked up on your route.
This event is now organised by the recently formed Community Land Trust as part of Bradwell Well Dressing week. As well as the gardens there will be four wells to visit and exhibitions in the Church and Chapel where teas are available.
Proceeds fund village community projects.
Plant sales Plants will be on sale in some of the gardens and at the events area at Town Bottom.
Cost Donation of at least £5.00 for adults, accompanied under 12s free.
How to get event passports Advance tickets from our website via our secure payment system, or village outlets. Detailed maps will be emailed nearer the date. On the day, buy tickets at Town Bottom.
