Peaslake Open Gardens
This event ran in 2018 but we don't yet have this year's details. When we get them, we'll add them, but in the meantime we include below event information from last year to remind you about the event.
Peaslake, southeast of Guildford, Surrey
Sunday 10th June 2018
12.00noon to 4.30pm
The annual Peaslake Open Gardens is a fantastic opportunity to see some of Surrey's best kept gardens. The beautiful village of Peaslake is tucked away at the foot of the Hurtwood Forest in the Surrey Hills, offering stunning views and a wealth of beautiful gardens, with everything from manicured lawns and structured flowerbeds to carefully planned wilder plots.
The event visits different parts of the village each year to give returning visitors, of which there are many, a different experience year on year. This year's event is in the centre of the village.
It will incorporate some gardens which have been seen before, such as the large and grand Spurfold, and some new properties we are delighted to welcome on board for the first time including The Old Post Office which has been drastically re-landscaped with impressive results. Lark Rise will also be opening on the day as part of the National Garden Scheme so that will be a bonus garden for anyone keen to visit a spectacular site. Separate tickets will need to be purchased for Lark Rise.
Bearwood on Plaws Hill, will be offering fizz to each guest, and there will also be a jazz band.
As we are a hilly little village and access between the gardens is on foot only, do bring appropriate footwear.
The base for this event will be at Peaslake Village Hall, Walking Bottom. At the base as usual, you will be able to refuel inbetween gardens on our fabulous Peaslake Home Baking, all washed down with a good cuppa of course. We will also have tasty home produce.
There will be lots of activities for any little gardeners that you bring along in the garden of St Marks Church opposite the Village Hall.
Sorry - no dogs please other than assistance dogs.
Proceeds to Peaslake Free School with plant sale proceeds to Peaslake School and the Peaslake, Shere and Gomshall Gardening Association.
We will have a plant stand at the base at Peaslake Village Hall.
Adults £6.00, seniors £5.00, under 14s voluntary contributions please. Entry tickets include free raffle ticket.
