Middleton-by-Wirksworth, near Matlock, Derbyshire Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th June 2018 11.00am to 5.00pm
Middleton is surrounded by traditional flower meadows containing many species of orchids that will be flowering in June when our gardens and yards in this rugged hilltop village will open to visitors for the fifth year.
Our tiny village was a finalist in the 2016 national RHS Britain in Bloom competition, achieving a Silver Gilt. award. In 2017 we again achieved a Silver Gilt in the East Midlands in Bloom competition and retained our Best Village status.
There are excellent village pubs at both the top and the bottom of the village as well a number of garden-based refreshment stops for those well earned rests. We also have a superb covered picnic stop in our community garden.
If you plan to visit the RHS Chatsworth Show in 2018 then why not take the opportunity to also visit some brilliant local gardens just a few miles away? You will made most welcome.
