Marchington Open Gardens
 | Please note This event has not run for a couple of years or more. If the event runs again and we get details, we'll add them, but in the meantime we include below event information from a previous year to remind you about the event. |
Marchington, near Uttoxeter, Staffordshire Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June 2019 11.00am to 5.00pm
Come and join us at our open garden event in our pretty village of Marchington on the border of Staffordshire and Derbyshire.
There will be a variety of gardens to visit and half of them will be new additions to the event. We are thrilled yet again for the opportunity to view the garden of the historic 17th Century Marchington Hall (Sunday only).
Refreshments will be available at several locations including ploughman's lunches, tea and cake, scones, hot dogs, beer, fizz and strawberries. We will also feature a scarecrow competition, art exhibition, and classic vehicles, so this will be a fun day for all the family in an idyllic setting.
Our beautiful Parish Church of St. Peters will be holding a car boot and table top sale.
A shuttle bus will run from the main car park and around the gardens for those who do not want to walk, although it is a lovely country village to wander around.
Proceeds from the Open Gardens event will go to support the Community Shop which run by volunteers.
Plant sales Plants for sale at several gardens, the community shop, and stalls around the village.
Cost £5.00 per person to cover both days, under 16s free.
How to get event passports Programmes and wristbands will be available from Marchington Community Shop from Monday 3rd June or on the day from the shop and selected gardens.
