This event is resting for 2019 Sorry, but Lode Open Gardens isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event
Lode, norhteast of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Sunday 28th June 2015 11.00am to 5.00pm
While there are no huge gardens to see, we have 12 gardens open, including one designed by the former head gardener of Anglesey Abbey (National Trust property in the village). The Old Vicarage gardens have a formal layout with box and yew hedges, secret rooms, herbaceous borders and espalier fruit trees. Other gardens vary from those with neat lawns with herbaceous borders, water features and vegetable plots to cottage gardens.
There will be a Teddy Bear Trail to keep little ones entertained for a while, teas available at two locations, and a small art display at the Church. We are also planning to have music at the Church between 2.00pm and 3.30pm.
