Sowerby, Thirsk, North Yorkshire Sunday 19th June 2016 2.00pm to 6.00pm
A wonderful opportunity to visit and enjoy the hidden gardens of Sowerby. The varied gardens are all within easy walking distance of Sowerby Parochial Hall where refreshments willbe available. See ducks and goats. Visit the house of the real 'Mrs Pumphrey' and her pekingese Tricky-Woo, made famous in James Herriot's book All Creatures Great and Small.
Belles Cantos ladies' choir will be singing during the afternoon in St Oswald's church yard.
Open Studios 10.30am to 6.00pm:
Cabinet maker and artist, Richard and Jane Burnley will be opening their house at 19 Front Street and exhibiting handmade furniture, paintings, jewellery and ceramics.
Colin and Alison Britton will be opening the studio in their garden at 152 Front Street, exhibiting paintings, prints and cards.
The proceeds will be shared between St Oswald's Church, Sowerby and Herriot Hospice Homecare.
Plant sales: Plants will be on sale at Sowerby Parochial Hall.
Cost: £3.00 adults, accompanied under 16s free.
