The lovely village of Hartington in the Peak District, will be opening its hidden gardens to visitors. 16 gardens will give visitors full access, 10 can be viewed from the pavement or roadside. The gardens show a variety of plants, shrubs and vegetables.
Some gardens will have items for sale - refreshments, cakes, home grown produce, homemade jams and pickles, free range eggs. Also some of the gardens will have items of interest on show such as local sculptures, vintage tractor, live 'keyboard' music, garden quiz (small charges may be made). For the children, they can try to spot the 12 Union Jacks which will be on display around the village.
All proceeds to Hartington Community Fund.
Cost: £2.50 per adult, accompanied under 16s free.
