Putley, near Ledbury, Herefordshire Sorry - this 2020 event has had to be CANCELLED 11.00am to 5.30pm
There's the chance to enjoy the blooms, blossom and bounty of some of Putley's glorious gardens.
For the sixth year running, intrepid gardeners and their hardworking under-gardeners are opening their gates to visitors to our idyllic rural village. Garden enthusiasts can enjoy stunning rhododendrons and azaleas, gardens with a proliferation of roses, wisteria and clematis and some with their deliberate 'wild' corners with bluebells and cowslips.
Putley is surrounded by orchards and if we're lucky, the apple trees in blossom will add to the magic of what we hope will be a fine and sunny day, full of interest for gardeners and their families.
Visitors to Putley Open Gardens are also encouraged to explore delightfully situated Putley Church. The carefully tended churchyard warrants a visit, with its unusual oak and teak War Memorial, a very fine medieval Preaching Cross, specimen trees, the possibility of emerging wild flowers and entrancing views over the adjacent duck pond.
