Stanton in Peak is a beautiful village of stone cottages on a hillside in the Peak District National Park with glorious views. It is a Conservation Area. The gardens are diverse and charming, and wrap around the cottages.
A free taxi service will run you to the gardens at the top of the hill if you want to save some energy. Teas and cakes will be served in some of the gardens and in the Village Hall. A pop-up pub usually appears in one of the gardens. There are usually some classic cars to admire and in 2018 there was an Affordable Art trail.
All proceeds go to village amenities such as the Village Hall, church and school.
Cost £4.00 adults, accompanied under 16s free.

Directions Stanton in Peak is 5 miles south of Bakewell. Turn off the A6 at Rowsley, or onto the B5056 and follow signs up the hills to the village.
