Whittington is a pretty, historic village on the Coventry Canal, two miles east of Lichfield.
We have a fabulous variety of gardens with a particular emphasis on being wildlife-friendly in many. There is a community orchard, and spectacular meadows.
Our two village pubs will be open for facilities, refreshments and excellent food. One or two garden owners are also hoping to provide their usual excellent food and refreshments.
All proceeds from ticket/programme sales will go to village greening projects and associated events.
Plant sales One or two gardeners hope to have plants for sale.
Cost £5.00 adults which covers both days, accompanied under 16s free.
How to get event passports Programmes and tickets for entry will be on sale from the post office (in advance) and car park on the day. Last ticket sales 3.00pm.
Number of gardens Approximately 14 gardens will be open, but the total may vary from day to day - please contact the organisers if you need exact numbers.
Directions The main car park is on Back Lane, just off Church Street. Parking for blue badge holders is available at St. Giles Hospice, Fisherwick Road. There is plenty of car parking available including spaces for those with disabilities at St. Giles Hospice.
