Bakewell, between Buxton and Chesterfield, Derbyshire Sunday 28th August 2016 2.00pm to 6.00pm
The gardens are varied in size and character with interesting plant collections and often with stunning views. Some of the gardens have steep slopes and steps. Following the garden trail will take visitors into nooks and crannies of Bakewell normally hidden from public view.
The gardens can be approached from the Haddon Road side of Bakewell. Arrows and balloons will mark the trail.
Refreshments will be served at the Friends Meeting House, Chapel Lane which is just off Haddon Road near the Methodist Church. As usual there will be a delicious assortment of homemade cakes.
All money raised at this event goes to the work of Oxfam.
How to get event passports: At any of the open gardens, also at an Oxfam stall in Rutland Square and at the Friends Meeting House. Tickets contain a trail map indicating the route and the location of the gardens. There will also be signs and arrows showing the route.
