Please note This event ran in 2016 but we don't yet have this year's details. When we get them, we'll add them, but in the meantime we include below event information from last year to remind you about the event.
Thurcaston and Cropston, north of Leicester Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June 2016 2.00pm to 6.00pm
Celebrate our 10th year of Open Gardens in the villages of Thurcaston and Cropston by wandering around our delightful gardens in this peaceful part of North Leicestershire.
This year we have many varied gardens open over the weekend. Gardens include a very wildlife-friendly garden, family gardens, cottage gardens and a perfect Oriental themed garden. All of our gardeners are usually available to welcome you to their gardens and will try to answer any questions that you may have.
Comfy shoes are probably advisable but afternoon teas will be available to take a rest and enjoy your surroundings. We even have a string quartet to entertain you in one garden on the Sunday. We look forward to seeing you.
This year's proceeds are going to LOROS (the local hospice) and our villages' Good Neighbour Scheme which has just started.
Plant sales: There will be a plant swap in one garden (bring along a spare plant from your own garden to swap for another) and as well as a few plant sales.
Cost: £4.00 per adult which covers both days. Accompanied children and wheelchair users free.
How to get event passports: Passports are available from any garden on the day - look out for the pink balloons.
