Middleton Open Gardens (Derbyshire)

approx 30 gardens open Middleton-by-Wirksworth, near Matlock, Derbyshire
Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June 2026
11.00am to 5.00pm

Middleton is surrounded by traditional flower meadows containing many species of orchids that will be flowering in June when our gardens and yards in this rugged hilltop village will open to visitors for the sixth year.

In 2019 our tiny village achieved a Gold Award in the RHS East Midlands in Bloom competition retraining its 'Best Village' status as well as being awarded a Silver Gilt in the prestigious national RHS Britain in Bloom competition.

There are excellent village pubs at both the top and the bottom of the village as well as a number of garden-based refreshment stops for those well earned rests. We also have a superb covered picnic stop in our community garden overlooking the village and surrounding countryside.

Expect a warm welcome along with superb views and amazing gardens.
