Marchington Open Gardens

Please note This event ran in 2025 but we don't yet have this year's details. When we get them, we'll add them, but in the meantime we include below event information from last year to remind you about the event.

Marchington, near Uttoxeter, Staffordshire
Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June 2025
11.00am to 4.30pm

Come and join us at our open garden event in our pretty village of Marchington on the border of Staffordshire and Derbyshire.

There will be a variety of gardens to view featuring a few new openers as well as some returning favourites.

Refreshments will be available at several locations including ploughman's lunches, tea and cake, scones with delicious jam and cream, ice creams, and a tipple. Our community shop will be hosting a breakfast BBQ to start your day from 9.30am.

The Open Gardens will form part of our very popular Marchington Festival which will include scarecrows, vintage and military vehicle display, food and craft fair, daft dog show, art exhibition, live music, family games and more.

There will be an RAF fly past on both days subject to weather conditions. For more information about this please see our website nearer the time.

We are pleased to say we will be offering free shuttle buses with limited mobility access. Use it to get around the gardens, although it's a lovely village to walk around too.

Proceeds:  Proceeds from the Open Gardens event will go to support the Community Shop which run by volunteers.

Plant sales:  Plants for sale at some gardens.

Cost:  £6.00 per person to cover both days, under 16s free.

How to get tickets / programmes:  Programmes and wristbands will be available from Marchington Community Shop from Monday 26th May, and on the day from the shop and selected gardens.

Directions / Parking:  Our village is situated on the border of Staffordshire and Derbyshire about 4 miles southeast of the market town of Uttoxeter. On arrival at the village please park in the designated car park.
