Mells Open Gardens

Sorry, but Mells Open Gardens isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event

 approx 12 gardens opened Mells, near Frome, Somerset

11.00am to 5.00pm

Gardens will open again in Mells, a beautifully preserved estate village just west of Frome, ranging from Mells Manor (based on designs by Lutyens and Jekyll), to small cottages.

You can see work by Lutyens, Munnings, Burne-Jones, Gill and Nicholson in the church.

Homemade lunches and teas will served in several village locations, including the community-run Mells Village Cafe.

Proceeds support the community-run village shop and café.

Plant sales:  Plant sales at the village shop.

Cost:  £5.00, with accompanied under 16s free.

Directions:  Turn north from Nunney Catch on the A361 and follow the signs. If coming through Frome, follow the signs to Radstock until you see a sign for Mells.
