Bures Open Gardens

Bures, near Colchester, Essex/Suffolk border Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May 2025 1.00pm to 6.00pm
This will be the 40th year of Bures Open Gardens and over the weekend our gardens in the village will again be open to visitors. In addition, Sawyer's Farm, on the outskirts of Bures, will be opening for the first time.
Homemade cream teas will be available from 2pm to 4.30pm in St Mary's Church, plus a cake stall and book stall. Music by Bures and Sudbury Mandolin Ensemble from 3pm to 4.30pm.
Lunches will be available on Bures Common between 12.00noon and 2.00pm
Some garden owners will provide refreshments and cakes.
Arts and Crafts Fair 'All Things Art and Beautiful' in Bures Community Centre, Saturday only.
Proceeds: All proceeds to St. Mary's Church and Ferriers Barn.
Plant sales: Plant sales in some gardens.
Cost: £6.00 which covers two days, accompanied under 16s free.
How to get tickets / programmes: On the day from St. Mary's Church, on Bures Common, in Nayland Road near the Community Centre car park and from all participating gardens; in advance from Bures Post Office and Bank House Tearoom.
