Great Easton Open Gardens and Scarecrow Festival

Great Easton, Dunmow, Essex

On the back of the great success of our previous Open Gardens events we are once again opening our gardens in Great Easton. We are situated in a charming village on the boulder clay region sandwiched between Saffron Walden and Thaxted to our North and to our South, Great Dunmow.

There are several new gardens to visit this year, as well as some previously seen, both large and small, most of which have wonderful views across open fields and the Chelmer river valley.

The Swan Pub will be open for lunch and drinks. There will be a displays by Tilly Archeological Society, along with Mini Gardens, music and an interesting display of scarecrows throughout the village.

The village will also be offering a delicious range of cakes and snacks, teas and coffees, Prosecco, and a small number of light lunches in a relaxing calm atmosphere where you can unwind. Our 15th century pub will also be open. Well behaved dogs on leads allowed.

Proceeds:  All proceeds in aid of local charity Centre Algarve and Village Playground Fund.

Cost:  £5.00 per adult, accompanied under 10s free.

Directions / Parking:  Our village is approximately 20 minutes from the city of Chelmsford. Turn left at the PA Woods Rolls Royce garage if arriving from Great Dunmow and right at the same garage if arriving from Saffron Walden. 100 yards down past the church is the village hall on your right , please turn right here for parking - it will be clearly signed. The Village Hall is on The Endway, Great Easton
