Great Easton Open Gardens

On the back of the great success of our previous Open Gardens events we are once again opening our gardens. We are situated in a charming village on the boulder clay region sandwiched between Saffron Walden and Thaxted to our North and to our South, Great Dunmow.

There are several new gardens to visit this year, as well as some previously seen, both large and small, many of which have wonderful views across open fields and the Chelmer river valley.

There will be floral displays in the Beautiful early Norman Church of St. Giles and St. John, just off of the village green.

There will be an opportunity to book a Train Ride on the fantastic Great Easton miniature railway, this would likely be the last stop after a wonderful wander around the Gardens of Great Easton. Bookings for this will be taken on arrival at the event (additional charge applies).

The village will also be offering a delicious range of cakes and snacks, teas and coffees, Prosecco, in a relaxing calm atmosphere where you can unwind.

Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.

Proceeds:  All proceeds in aid of HFT and village events such as the complimentary Christmas lunch provided to Pensioners and the Children’s Christmas Party.

Plant sales:  HFT will also attend the event selling plants grown at their local nursery.

Cost:  £5.00 adults, accompanied under 12s free.

Directions / Parking:  Our village is approximately 20 minutes from the city of Chelmsford. Turn left at the PA Woods Rolls Royce garage if arriving from Great Dunmow and right at the same garage if arriving from Saffron Walden. Approx 350 yards from the turning into the village is the events carpark, it is just prior to the church on your right, please turn right here for parking - it will be clearly signed. The Village Hall is just moments away by foot on The Endway, Great Easton.
