Gissing Open Gardens

This event is resting for 2026 Sorry, but Gissing Open Gardens isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event

Gissing, near Diss, Norfolk

11.00am to 4.00pm

This small village boasts many interesting and attractive gardens which will be open to visitors. They range considerably in size and style, some with typical country borders and vegetable plots, others with woodland and wildlife areas.

Visitors will also be able admire the community orchard and see the work being done by local volunteers to restore a small area of common land.

There will be Classic Cars on show, and refreshments will be available in the Community Centre. There will also be an outdoor BBQ and the adjacent pub will be running a mini beer festival.

Proceeds:  Proceeds to The Heart of Gissing Community Charity.

Plant sales:  Plants sales in the Community Building and at certain gardens.

Cost:  £5.00 adults, accompanied children free.

How to get tickets / programmes:  Buy tickets in the Community Centre.

Directions / Parking:  Gissing is five miles north of Diss. The Community Building is signposted off Rectory Road, next to the Bowling Green, with car parking in the adjacent meadow.
