An opportunity to view a cross-section of life in a village community and to enjoy a stroll in many beautiful and varied gardens, as well as the village's own Nature Reserve with its tranquil lake and bird hides.

On Saturday at 1.00pm the church bells will be ringing out to herald the start of this special weekend. Shortly afterwards, the event will be officially opened by Claire Midgley-Adam MVO, Gardens Manager to the Royal Household, London.

There will be themed flower displays in the Grade 1 listed 12th century church and the chance to discover the history of the village, including Beckford Hall, a former priory with an ancient box hedge avenue known as Monk's Walk.

In one sheltered, walled garden there will be a Champagne Bar and barbecue, and in another garden there will be local cider to sample amongst ancient apple trees. With various stalls, a children's quiz trail, music, classic cars, vintage radios and lots more to see, it is a day out for all ages to enjoy.

Enjoy delicious homemade teas in the village hall and in one of the gardens.

Dogs on leads are also very welcome.

Proceeds:  Proceeds are principally for the maintenance of our beautiful church, with donations made to other local charities and community groups.

Plant sales:  Excellent plant and garden sales stall by the Village Hall.

Cost:  £6.00 per adult, covers both days, accompanied under 16s free. Pre-booked groups of 20 or more are charged at £5.00 per adult plus one free ticket - please contact us.

Directions / Parking:  The village of Beckford is just off the A46 Tewkesbury to Evesham road, four miles from Junction 9 of the M5 motorway. Ample parking is available on the fields adjacent to the village hall and will be clearly signposted.
