approx 9 gardens opened Ewelme, near Wallingford, Oxfordshire
Sunday 9th June 2024
2.00pm to 5.00pm

There will be some interesting and varied gardens open, together with two walled allotments.

The church has an intriguing history and has some attached almshouses and cloisters. Very close to these is Ewelme Primary School (1437), the oldest school building in the country which is still in use.

There is a village pond with the Village Store opposite. From this pond the brook, with its well known watercress beds runs through part of the village. Further down The Street is the Watercress Centre, with access to the watercress beds and surrounding meadows.

Teas and cakes available at the Watercress Centre.
