approx 8 gardens opened Goring on Thames, Oxfordshire
Friday 3rd June 2022
12.30pm to 5.00pm

The picturesque and historic village of Goring-on-Thames lies on the Thames between Reading and Oxford. Both enjoy wonderful countryside and stunning views of The Goring Gap, being uniquely situated within both The Chilterns and The North Wessex Downs ‘Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.

Goring Gap in Bloom is the proud recipient of several Royal Horticultural Society Gold Awards and featured in the recent BBC2 TV series ‘Britain in Bloom’.

Some very different and exceptional gardenswill open their family-friendly gates for an afternoon of pure horticultural pleasure as part of the GAP Festival 2022. Other attractions include poetry in the gardens, plant sales, afternoon teas and more to enjoy as you wend your way between them. Look up the website below to find what other fun events, arts and crafts, food and entertainment are happening.

Explore a delightful courtyard garden, a parkland setting with a Jubilee avenue of limes, a riverside oasis and colourful mixed planting and veg. Enjoy a wildlife-friendly haven with a restored woodland and wildflower meadow, a magnificent river-frontage, winding paths and a tiered garden with rockeries and surprising beauty, plus a glorious traditional Victorian Garden.

The village is quite large and the gardens are spread from one end to the other so you can have an active day looking at all of the gardens or plot a much smaller route for just a few. A map of the gardens will be available nearer the time.
