Flowton, near Ipswich, Suffolk Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th June 2023 12.00noon to 5.00pm.
Our tiny Suffolk village - in the middle of nowhere but only a short distance from Ipswich - is opening its gardens along with a splendid flower festival for the first time in four years.
As well as a range of very different gardens to visit, there will be an amazing display of military vehicles, a local history exhibition, classic cars, a sale of gardening books and more.
The flower festival (open from 11.00am) will be in the village's delightful 13th century church, which has a superb new weathervane featuring two elephants.
Refreshments, lunches and cream teas will be available throughout the weekend.
Proceeds: Proceeds will go to help maintain St Mary's Church, Flowton, and to FIND (Families in Need), our local Ipswich food and furniture bank which provides crucial support to many local families and individuals in need.
Plant sales: There will be plants for sale at a couple of participating gardens.
Cost: £5.00 for adults, accompanied under 16s free.
How to get tickets / programmes: Tickets can be purchased on the day from the church or from some of the gardens that will be open.
