Worth Village Open Gardens
 | Please note This event ran in 2025 but we don't yet have this year's details. When we get them, we'll add them, but in the meantime we include below event information from last year to remind you about the event. |
Worth, south of Sandwich, Kent Sunday 8th June 2025 11.00am to 5.30pm
Set around the quintessentially Kentish village of Worth, with a village duck pond, historic church and two village pubs, you'’ll have the opportunity to see private gardens with many different styles of planting and garden design.
Our aim is to bring local and the wider community together to enjoy a fun family day.
Following on from the success of last year’s scarecrow competition, we have decided to repeat the fun. Scarecrows made by our wonderful Worth residents will again be strategically positioned around the village, ready for judging by our visitors.
There will be a variety of craft stalls, demonstrating and selling handmade goods.
We will be serving savoury snacks along with tea, coffee and homemade cakes in the village hall, with an ice cream van on the green.
Proceeds: All proceeds go towards Martha Trust, Worth Primary School and Worth village church - Church of St. Peter & St. Paul.
Plant sales: There will be a village plant stall selling an array of plants, shrubs, herbs and seeds, all cultivated by Worth gardeners.
Cost: £5.00 adults, accompanied 16s and under free - cash only please.
