Kirkby Malzeard, between Ripon and Masham, North Yorkshire Sunday 7th July 2024 12.00noon to 4.00pm
We can guarantee that you’ll have an interesting afternoon in our ancient village which is mentioned in the Domesday Book.
Gardens ranging from small cottagey to large formal will provide plenty of interest for keen gardeners. Many gardens are opening for the first time
The village pottery will be open and for added interest there will be a Scarecrow Trail - the theme for this year is ‘Characters from Children’s Literature’.
Our route will take you down both old Back Lanes as well as Main Street and the characterful Church Street, so, whilst you are visiting, do look out for the old Pinfold (circa 1300) on Main Street and at St. Andrew’s Church, don’t miss the Norman doorway (1150) and the ancient preaching cross (circa 700) in the churchyard.

Plant sales: Plants for sale - grown by Kirkby in Bloom.
Cost: £5.00 adults, accompanied under 16s free.
