Southrop Village Open Gardens Weekend

approx 10 gardens open Southrop, near Lechlade, Gloucestershire
Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May 2026
1.00pm to 5.00pm

Southrop sits between Cirencester and Burford, a village of honey-coloured cottages, ancient footpaths, and riverside tranquillity. Recorded in the Domesday Book and set along the gentle course of the River Leach, it embodies the enduring charm of rural English life.

Every two years the village opens its private gardens to visitors, inviting them into the living, breathing heart of this historic community. Here, gardens thread through the fabric of village life, bound up with history, shared gatherings, and the spirit of those who care for it.

Southrop Open Gardens is more than an event; it celebrates gardens, village life, and the simple pleasure of being outdoors exploring a historic setting.
