Sorry, but Casterton Open Gardens isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event

 approx 10 gardens opened Casterton, Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria
Saturday 19th July 2025
10.30am to 4.30pm

A range of gardens will be open, from small cottage gardens to larger country houses. Some are quite formal and others in a more relaxed style. Some are well established and others quite newly planted. Several of the gardens have not been open to the public before. There will be vegetables and fruit growing as well as flowers.

Tea, coffee and home made cakes will be available at Casterton Village Hall.

No dogs please other than assistance dogs.

Proceeds:  Proceeds to the upkeep of Casterton Village Hall.

Plant sales:  There will be plants for sale in aid of an animal charity.

Cost:  £5.00

Toilet Facilities:  Toilets are available at this event.

Directions / Parking:  Casterton Village Hall is on the A683 in centre of the village. Casterton / Sedbergh Prep School has kindly agreed that visitors can use their car parks, which are near the church, and opposite the school playing fields on the A683, and then walk to the Village Hall and to the gardens.
