Wivenhoe Open Gardens

11.00am to 5.00pm

Wivenhoe Open Gardens is a popular summer event in this village-like town, set on the River Colne in north-east Essex.

A variety of gardens will be open, including several that are new to the event.

Refreshments and displays of arts and crafts can be enjoyed in some of the gardens and the church will be open for refreshments. Please note that on Sunday, a church service will be taking place until 12.30pm.

This is one of the early Open Gardens weekends, so start your summer in Wivenhoe.

Proceeds:  Proceeds are shared between St Mary's Church and local causes chosen each year by The Wivenhoe Society.

Plant sales:  At some of the gardens.

Cost:  £5.00 for the weekend, accompanied under 14s free. Cash only please at all venues.

How to get tickets / programmes:  Tickets are available now from three shops in Wivenhoe (see local posters) and from several participating gardens during the weekend. A garden map is available at the website link below.
