Nassington, near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire/Northamptonshire border Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June 2024 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Visit Nassington and wander through this lovely Northamptonshire village on the river Nene. The event was last held in 2022 and was a great success, attracting visitors from around the region.
Our event is part of the National Open Gardens initiative and since the first sign of spring has had many of the village's residents planting, pruning and planning for the big event.
Visitors will be able to draw ideas from a wide spectrum of gardens - from courtyard to new build, from modern through to the Prebendal Manor. The Manor's garden is understood to be Europe's largest recreated medieval garden, although in the last few years the gardens have been adapted beyond the Medieval structures and planting to provide a longer flowering season with many sweet-smelling repeat-flowering David Austen roses. It has been featured on BBC2, Radio 4 and in top magazines including Country Life.
The Village Hall will be open for the sale of tickets, ice creams and soft drinks.
The church will be open on both days for the very popular refreshments, including lovely home made cakes and will include a number of craft stalls with lovely items for sale.
