Herne and Broomfield Garden Safari

approx 20 gardens open Herne and Broomfield, near Herne Bay, Kent
Sunday 7th June 2026
11.00am to 5.00pm

You are invited to tour our parish and enjoy our varied gardens - we have something for everyone.

This year we have several gardens that are new to our event.

Some of the features to look out for are; borders bursting with vibrant or pastel colours, a sea themed rockery, a lovely fig tree, grape vine, tree fern and voodoo lilies.

Some gardens are managed to be wildlife friendly, several have vegetables, fruit, flowers or a pond.

Our historic Grade 1 listed St. Martin’s church, dates from the 14th century and is a large, handsome structure consisting of three aisles, three chancels and a tower. The grounds of this beautiful historic churchyard area is being sensitively restored to create a haven for wildlife and peace.
