Bradninch Musical Gardens
 | Please note This event ran in 2025 but we don't yet have this year's details. When we get them, we'll add them, but in the meantime we include below event information from last year to remind you about the event. |
Bradninch, near Exeter, Devon Sunday 18th May 2025 11.00am to 5.00pm
Imagine wandering through a pretty garden admiring the planting, when you hear the gentle strains of live music on the summer air. This is the pleasure that awaits visitors when the village opens its gardens ranging from stately homes to historic cottages. Wandering musicians will entertain visitors with all types of music from classical to folk.
With have a good range of gardens open, we can offer the broadest variety of gardens be they large or small, vegetable or colourful, from potagers to just pots. With the right mix the weekend can be a wonderful time for families, the young and not so young and for the gardeneers.
Along with our gardens there will be some fringe events, so it will be quite a day.
There are also art exhibitions at two gardens and at the Guildhall where there will hopefully be cream teas.
We are working hard to offer a range of music genres over the weekend throughout the gardens with many strolling minstrels, balladeers and (hopefully) the odd Morris or Belly Dancer thrown in. More details on the day. Much is weather dependent of course.
What more can be said of having a cake in one hand, a cup of tea or Pimm's in the other, with the sound of music wafting over sunlight gardens amongst friends?
Refreshments and food will also be available at many gardens and hopefully elsewhere.
Some gardens are not suitable for dogs - assistance dogs welcome throughout.
