Elkstone Open Gardens
Elkstone, between Cheltenham and Cirencester, Gloucestershire Sunday 11th June 2023 2.00pm to 6.00pm
This event offers a unique opportunity to visit this very special Cotswold village and see it in detail not normally accessible to the casual visitor.
Amble through a selection of beautiful private gardens, browse stalls, enjoy cream teas, homemade cakes or ice creams.
The church, the highest in the Cotswolds, is known for its unusual dovecote above the chancel and its quite exceptional Norman arches in the chancel and sanctuary bathed in golden light. It boasts a wonderful Norman tympanum above the south door. In 2020 the bells were taken down and retuned and we hope that it will be possible for them to ring out to celebrate the day. They hang on a working medieval bell frame which has recently been identified as of national historical significance and they date in time from 1657 to 1977.
All proceeds from the event go towards the upkeep of our church and our village hall.

Plant sales There will be a plant stall in the village.
Cost £5.00 adults, accompanied children free.
