Benington Open Gardens

Benington is a beautiful village in East Hertfordshire where an annual Patronal Flower Festival and Open Gardens event has taken place for over 50 years .... except in 2020 for the very obvious reason.
The gardens are scattered around the village, with over a mile from one end to the other, so getting between gardens at opposite ends of the village can take time.
There will be home-made cakes, and home-grown produce and refreshments will be available in the Village Hall and in some of the gardens.
All proceeds will go to St. Peter's Church, Benington.

There will be plant sales at various gardens.
Cost
£8.00 adults, accompanied under 16s free, includes entrance into the Benington Lordship Gardens.

Tickets for garden entry will be available at the Information Tent on Church Green - cash or contactless payments accepted.

Directions / Parking
We are located four miles east of Stevenage. Tourist signs for Benington Lordship are posted at the junction to Benington on the A602 and on the A507 between Buntingford and Baldock. Leave to A1M at Stevenage south exit (junction 7). Take the A602 towards Herford. At the roundabout after Bragbury End take the road into the village of Watton-at-Stone, turn left and follow the tourist signs to the village.
Drive into the centre of the village and look out for the information tent on Church Green or the Village Hall, 3 Walkern Road, Benington, or stop at any garden showing the Open Gardens sign.
By rail: nearby stations at Stevenage, Watton-at-Stone, Knebworth and Hertford North.
By bus: Arriva No: 383/384 covers all the above stations to/from Benington. Please check the Arriva Interlink website for timetables.
