Mellor, southeast of Marple Bridge, Cheshire Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July 2021 2.00pm to 6.00pm
Beautiful gardens of different shapes and sizes - some with events and treats - something for everyone.
This event takes place every four years and mostly involves different gardens each time. This event has become very popular not only with locals but a number of visitors coming from quite far afield.
The village is set on a hill so park your car and take advantage of the free hop-on-hop-off buses that travel the village throughout the day. The buses are the best way of visiting each of the gardens opening this year. Each garden has something different to offer, compact, where every inch is made to work to the open and spacious but equally packed with plants. The criterion is, as always, that each garden is interesting.
There are two locations at either end of the village that will offer refreshments all day. With so many activities planned such as competitions and displays, there should be something for everyone.
All proceeds to Cancer Research UK and Mellor Parish Centre.
Plant sales There will be plant sales at the Parish Centre.
Cost £8.00 per day, or £12.00 covers both days. Available at local shops before and on the day, accompanied under 16s free.
How to get event passports These will be available from local shops before and on the day.
Number of gardens Approximately 12 gardens will be open, but the total may vary from day to day - please contact the organisers if you need exact numbers.
