Alne Open Gardens
Alne, North Yorkshire Sunday 25th June 2023 12.00noon to 5.00pm
For our 3rd biennial event there will be a variety of gardens to see around Alne village and Alne Station. These include an old Orchard; a newly established Wild Flower border; a meadow with a large natural pond; a Plantswoman's lovely established mature garden with 30 plus varieties of clematis and roses; and a 300 year old veteran Ash tree in the churchyard with the historic church open to look round. Half of the gardens are new to this year's event, so this will keep the event fresh and interesting.
Local art will be on display in the village hall. A homemade craft stall, Sew Lovely, will offer original hand crafted bags and aprons for sale in one of the gardens, and children's garden games will be on offer in another garden.
