This event is resting for 2022 Sorry, but North Stoke Open Gardens isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event
North Stoke, near Wallingford, Oxfordshire Sunday 17th June 2018 2.00pm to 6.00pm
North Stoke is a pretty Ridgeway village situated on the Thames between Wallingford and Goring in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are approximately 75 houses in the village and a number of residents have kindly offered to open their gardens. Three are particularly large gardens with river frontages, another garden edges the spring fed lake and others are small and interesting with particular delights to discover.
There will be an opportunity to meet the garden owners, to ask questions about plants, wildlife and the village, before relaxing with a Strawberry Cream Tea in the Village Hall. There will be cakes available for purchase, and if time permits, a visit to our historic village church may be an added interest. The church is the only one on the entire length of the Ridgeway Long Distance Path. The Chancel was built in 1230-1240.
