Thornton Open Gardens
 | This event is resting for 2023 Sorry, but Thornton Open Gardens isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event |
Thornton, near Markfield, Leicestershire Sunday 10th July 2022 1.00pm to 6.00pm
Gardens will be open around the village along with a variety of attractions, stalls and refreshments.
Information for wheel users: Built on a ridge and with narrow pavements, Thornton is, unfortunately, not ideal for wheelchairs as many gardens have steps or steep slopes and have narrow entry to the back gardens. This means that most gardens have no access, or very limited access. Our printed programme attempts to indicate those more suitable.
There will be cream teas all afternoon at the Community Centre and the church will also be open. The event is being organised by The Friends of St Peter's Church.
All proceeds from this event are for the maintenance, restoration and improvement of our beautiful historic church.
Cost £3.00, accompanied children free.
How to get event passports Programme tickets will be available on the day from the Community Centre, the church and participating gardens.
