This event is resting for 2021 Sorry, but Berden Open Gardens isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event
Berden, near Bishops Stortford, Herts Sunday 30th June 2019 2.00pm to 6.00pm
Come visit our lovely village along with gardens in Little London and Brick House End.
Each of our gardeners will welcome the opportunity to pass the time of day with you, eager to make your visit a great experience. Our gardens will offer you their own individual colour and character, sweeping lawns and views of our countryside, water features, beautiful flowers and borders, oh so cared for vegetables or a cosy place to sit and ponder.
As well as an idea or two, you might like to take home some fresh garden produce or a plant.
Visit a 17th Century Tread Wheel, a beautiful piece of engineering, well worth the visit. Be surprised at just how long it takes for water to hit bottom. One of only two working water wheels in the country.
How about being entertained by our resident traditional Jazz band?
Stop for some refreshment. Take a woodland walk or feed the chickens. See just how busy and ordered bees must be to be successful at work. An adults quiz if you wish and a children's quiz too with a treat for all who take part.
All proceeds to our village church and Village Hall Improvement Fund.
Plant sales There will be a £1.00 plant shop.
Cost £5.00 adults, accompanied under 16s free.
