Challock Open Gardens
 Challock, near Faversham and Ashford, Kent

Challock boasts some fabulous, interesting gardens and unique plant collections. Eleven gardens that are normally hidden from the public will open in the lovely, picturesque village of Challock, on top of the North Downs. Discover, explore and be inspired.
Mostly within easy walking distance or a short drive from each other, off the main village green - The Lees. A wide variety of gardens are open, from newly planted borders to gardens with specimen plants, shrubs and trees. They range from extensive wildflower and tree meadows, cottage gardens, an amazing Japanese themed garden, ponds, water features and vegetable plots and a private collection of over 300 cacti and succulents.
Miniature Garden Competition - children 12 years and younger are invited to create a miniature garden in any container. Gardens will be on display in the Village Hall. Contact the organiser for more information.
It's Father's Day, all the pleasure of beautiful gardens without having to do any work. A great day out for all the family, get ideas or just relax. A quintessential lovely Kentish village, with a cricket match during the afternoon to enjoy as well.
The beautiful church which is over 800 years old will also be open for visitors.
'Ask the expert' - Jean Griffin, presenter on Radio Kent Sunday Gardening programme, will be offering her expert knowledge, so bring your plant questions, problems and identifications along.
Indulge with delicious savouries and homemade cakes along the way at various gardens. Ploughman's lunches will be served in the Village Hall - cash only please.
Proceeds
Proceeds in aid of Alzheimer's Society and The Friends of Challock Church.
Plant sales
There will be plants for sale.
Cost
£5.00 adults, accompanied under 16s free, cash and cards accepted.
