Luddenden, east of Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire Saturday 28th June 2025 10.00am to 4.00pm
Come and discover a variety of village gardens including front yards, an organic wildlife garden, newly established gardens and the garden of an Elizabethan Yeoman House. All demonstrate differing styles to suit the challenging conditions in this historic Pennine Conservation Area village of stone houses built along the sides of the Luddenden Valley. Some of the gardens have lovely views across the valley. Many of the gardens have stepped access.
Refreshments available at St. Mary’s and the Lord Nelson Inn, both in the centre of the village,, and also some participating gardens.
Proceeds Proceeds to the Luddenden in Bloom group who maintain public areas in the village.
Plant sales Locally grown plants for sale at the Village Car Park.
Cost £5.00 adults, accompanied 16s and under free.
How to get tickets / programmes On the day at the Village Car park, cards accepted.
Directions / Parking From Hebden Bridge or Mytholmroyd take the A646 towards Halifax. At Luddendenfoot turn left into Luddenden Lane heading for Luddenden and Midgley, passing one left turn and then turning into the Car Park on the right.
From Halifax take the A646 Burnley Road. At Luddendenfoot turn right into Luddenden Lane and then proceed as above.
There is very limited parking in the centre of the village. Please ask for further advice at the Car Park and park responsibly.
Buses: 574 from Halifax stopping opposite the Car Park. 590/591/592/593 (from Halifax or Hebden Bridge) stopping at Luddendenfoot (15 minutes walk).
Toilet Facilities Toilets are available at this event.
