Leintwardine Open Gardens is for all those who love gardens and for our Community. It has a long tradition of being a most successful and popular occasion.
Take pleasure in viewing the wide variety of styles and sizes of gardens that are kindly open this weekend - hopefully these will provide inspiration for your own garden. Drifting through each garden will give you a sense of tranquillity as you absorb everything nature has to offer. We have tried to consider the needs of wildlife (which certainly could do with a helping hand these days) as we plan our gardens and the emphasis is less on pristine gardens and more on creating spaces for people and nature (that includes us) to co-exist in harmony. Aside from the gardens, there are other opportunities to enjoy, all of which makes it an event for the whole family.
There is a bug hunt for children and the chance to get up close and personal with nature through magnifying glasses. In the gardens there is the chance to play Boules, an open ‘sculpture workshop, a labyrinth, and meditation spaces.
The Community Centre is open, serving tea and cakes, with an electronic media display of gardens and wildlife.
All proceeds go the the Leintwardine Centre, our Community Village Hall.
Plant sales
There will be plants for sale - all grown by villagers.
Cost
£6.00 adults, under 18s free - cash sales only please throughout the event.
How to get event passports
Please purchase your ticket from The village shop, Griffiths Garage. It is possible to buy tickets on the day from participating gardens, but we would prefer you buying from the garage in advance.
Number of gardens
Approximately 12 gardens will be open, but the total may vary from day to day - please contact the organisers if you need exact numbers.

Directions / Parking
Some parking is available in the Community Centre. Two Disabled bays available here. Otherwise, use the streets in the village where appropriate.
