Lillingstone Lovell Open Gardens

Lillingstone Lovell, Buckingham
Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2013
12.00noon to 6.00pm

Lillingstone Lovell Open GardensAround 20 gardens in Lillingstone Lovell will be open for viewing this year.

The centre of this small north Bucks village is a beautiful conservation area. The focal point of the village is the 13th century church which will be decorated with flower displays themed around "Nursery Rhymes", where bell ringing and organ music will add to the atmosphere.

Jane Scott's artist's studio and Ian Baird's picture framing studio will be open as usual at Brookside Cottage. Snack lunches, homemade vegetarian soup and refreshments will be served from midday. Many previous visitors have complimented the famous afternoon cream teas, which as usual will be served with delicious home-baked scones, cakes and strawberry flans, in the Village Hall.

Lillingstone Lovell is a dog-friendly village and well-behaved dogs on leads are most welcome.

Proceeds to support our 13th century church and village hall, plus Willen Hospice, Buckingham Hospital, The Alzheimers Society, Medical Detection Dogs, Thames Valley & Chilterns Air Ambulance.

Plant sales:
Some gardeners will have home grown plants for sale and we have again invited the family run nursery of Tile House Plants of Finmere - www.tilehouseplants.co.uk, plus Dave Snapes who has a nursery in Blisworth, specialising in wildflowers.

Cost:
£4.00 per person, children under 16 free. With 20 village gardens to view, plus the flower displays in the church, it makes sense to come on Saturday - if you run out of time, you can then use your ticket again on the Sunday.

How to get event passports:
Having parked your car in the field in the centre of the village, please go to the admissions table under a green gazebo near to the exit from the field.
