Cadney and Howsham Open Gardens
This event is resting for 2024
Sorry, but Cadney and Howsham Open Gardens isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event
Cadney and Howsham, near Brigg, North Lincolnshire
Sunday 11th June 2023
10.00am to 5.00pm
A good range of rural gardens will be open around the two neighbouring villages of Cadney and Howsham.
There will be lots of lovely country gardens of all shapes and sizes open in both Cadney and Howsham, plus a woodland wildlife walk in Howsham.
Our Grade 1 listed Cadney church is one of the oldest churches in the area and well worth a visit - the church will have some flowers and a display about Rev E A Woodruff Peacock, a renowned botanist who was also the vicar in Cadney and Howsham from1891 until 1920. He collected 1000s of his plant specimens from around the parish many of them now stored at The Natural History museum.
Fish and chips lunches will be available from award-winning The Lincolnshire Fryer, parked in the old cafe car park in Howsham. Tuckers Ice Cream will also be there during the event.
There will be cakes and refreshments in Howsham Village Hall. Refreshments will also be available at Cadney church hall.
All proceeds are to be shared between local good causes including Lindsey Lodge Hospice, All Saints church, Cadney and Howsham Village Hall and Park.
There will be plants for sale.
