Our event will be opened officially on Saturday at 1.00pm by Vanessa Berridge - see below.
An opportunity to view a cross-section of life in a village community and to enjoy a stroll in many beautiful gardens as well as the village's own Nature Reserve - a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
There will be themed flower displays in the Grade 1 listed 12th century church. Two sites will offer teas, there will be a Champagne Bar and barbecue and attractions for children including a Quiz Trail to follow, plus classic cars and vintage radios.
Special Platinum Jubilee Celebrations:
Saturday 4th: 5.00pm to late, "Party at the Pub"
Sunday 5th: 1.00pm to 8pm, Big Jubilee Hog Roast with live music
Vanessa Berridge is an author and writer on gardens and gardening history in national and international magazines and papers such as Country Life, Daily Telegraph, and The Times. Vanessa started the magazine The English Garden in 1997 and was its editor. Among her books are Great British Gardeners: from early Plantsmen to Chelsea Medal Winners (2018) and her latest, Borde Hill Garden - a Plant Hunter's Paradise (2022). A selection of her books will be on sale and she will sign if requested.
Proceeds are principally for the maintenance of our ancient church.
Plant sales
Excellent plant sale in a garden on the village street.
Cost
£5.00 per adult, accompanied under 16s free. Pre-booked groups of 20 or more are eligible for a 20% discount plus one free ticket - please contact us.

The village of Beckford is just west of the A46 Tewkesbury to Evesham road, four miles from Junction 9 of the M5 motorway. Parking is available in a central parking area.
